Fortis Inc. Bringing North American Electricity Leaders Together at First Fortis Energy Exchange

  • ST. JOHN'S, NEWFOUNDLAND AND LABRADOR - Fortis Inc. ("Fortis") is hosting the first Fortis Energy Exchange in partnership with the Canadian Electricity Association (CEA), a North American Energy Leadership Forum, in St. John's on Wednesday, June 21, 2017. The event will bring together senior executives from the electricity utility industry throughout North America, as well as government and industry officials.

    "The Fortis Energy Exchange is about bringing together many of the industry's thought leaders to discuss the most important issues facing the electricity sector today," said Barry Perry, President and CEO, Fortis Inc.     The Exchange will allow participants to focus on clean energy, technology and security, cross-jurisdictional energy transportation, integrated resource management and the vision for the future of the electricity utility sector.

    The keynote address will be delivered by the Honourable Dwight Ball, Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador. The speakers list also includes:
